Not To Prime Is A Crime

Primers

Many of us have heard about primer and are not sure what its exact use is.

Most of us have the info on it, but have never tried it because we felt that it’s an unnecessary investment. A few of us believe that a great foundation negates the need for a primer. But only those of us who have tried it really know its importance in a makeup routine.

Let me emphasize, it is an essential step whether it’s under a full face of makeup or whether it’s worn under BB/CC cream or be it foundation/setting powder.

BENEFITS OF USING A PRIMER:

  • Seals pores:

Not everyone has large pores, but we’ve all used that annoying highlighter or liquid foundation that makes our normal pores look huge. Certain types of primers take care of that problem by sealing pores. They create a sort of blanket on your skin that makeup comes on top of, and voila, you’re visibly pore free.

  • Anti Ageing:

Although primers don’t necessarily contain anti ageing properties, anti ageing primers’ resolute function is to make skin look younger instantly by filling out fine lines and wrinkles.

  • Makeup Stays On Longer:

Primer is the first step of step of makeup application that you don’t wanna duck with! Why? It acts as a layer between the skin and foundation, giving the foundation something to cling on to. So this step ensures that makeup lasts a good 8 -12 hours.
